Speechless….
Its gone on too long. I’m lost for words. I watched the game tonight and was disgusted by the uneasiness of this team and the terrible goaltending they are receiving. They can say he got hurt, just like he was apparently sick during the playoffs last year….but that is no excuse……..Kelly Guard would have put on a better showing, MUCH better….OR they could just as easily put a pair of pads on Volchenkov, he would be a better fit in there.
I have heard so many things, but when are they going to pull the trigger – I don’t know.
I thought they would have done it by now. I know they have a deal lined up – and they have to pull the trigger soon, this team is clearly
Also when Emery does come back….I have heard 1-3 games, he will be playing a majority of the games….Ottawa does not play well in front of Gerber – as he clearly is not the goalie they thought….will he be able to find his game…who knows….
The lines they had worked well, they just could not get a timely save….4 goals is apparently not enough to win games.
Some kind of shake-up must happen, they clearly are not responding. Trade, coaching change, GM change….I’ve heard it all. Right now I have no answers….and am keeping my ears open.

If there is no significant change (trade, coach, gm) by drop of puck Friday, I'll be extremely upset...something HAS to be done!

You can tell with all the hype thrown his way, that EMERY clearly is going to take the role as #1....3.7 million can sit on the bench for the next 5 games....after that give a chance to play...but I don't think he is the guy for this team.
I am assuming you will see some kind of change before Friday....but I thought that after Washington.
can we just waive gerber or buy him out? then maybe trade for nabokov, toskala, biron
They could waive Gerber, but I'm sure Uncle Eugene won't want to flush $11 million down the toilet.
Fire Muckler...make Murray GM...make a major core player trade with another struggling team (or at the very least get a 2nd line centre)...get Emery back healthy...and the team will hopefully get itself on track.

I must say the lack of movement by the Senators is puzzling. Can it not be any more obvious that there is something seriously wrong with the psyche of this team? It's not that they've lost 5 in a row...it's how they've lost them.
Sens management and their lack of a proactive approach is becoming extremely frustrating.
Agreed, its clear that this team STILL has amazing talent, and if the shoe were on the other foot, we would easily be 8-4 as opposed to 5-8.....I still will take to the bank that this team gets into the playoffs, without clawing there way in.....there a few tweaks that need to be worked out first...

Stu Barnes and Jeff Halpern are the names I have heard from Dallas.....not sure what I think about them.
Barnes has experience, but Halpern is younger....
If Muckler thinks either Stu Barnes of Jeff Halpern will solve this team's problems...then I hope he will share what he's smoking with all of us.
At least Conroy would make a tangible difference...but I hope any deal is of greater scope then adding Stu Barnes.

The lockerroom is suprisingly upbeat. I actually flew down to Pittsburgh to go watch the game....I was not and have not actually been in the locker room but have been told that they remain positive and upbeat....they know that there lapses and mishaps will not last and that they are better than they are playing....working hard everygame is a must and keeping them focused and on track is Murrays #1 concern....
As for Pittsburgh, it would be ashame to see them lose there team...they are so passionate about Hockey and I am glad to see that they are all enjoying hockey there once again. Malkin, Crosby etc have really lit a fire with these fans and its clearly seen when you are there. I will be back tomorrow just in time to see the Boston game on TV....I am still thinking of going however I have to convince my friend who I went with to shell out some more money....doubtful it will happen....lol....

For ****** sake, please Senators make a move. This team is awful, with Gerber as the main culprit. This team as is will not make the playoffs. Fire that yellow sweatered man Muckler!

Something needs to happen, this is a disaster.
Although I do agree with people who say Muckler should be fired, I also must say that Murray should no longer be the coach. We need a definite change behind the bench because he has just lost the team completely.
